| Research Activity
The Paolo Rovesti Institute has developed
a number of basic research activities investigating the properties
of plants ingredients for applications in the cosmetic, pharmaceutical
and veterinary field. A summary of the current studies is listed
below.
Companies interested to develop the productive
and commercial aspects of these studies can contact the ROVESTI
SAS (rovesti@rovesti.it).
Inflammation
Identification of plants with anti-inflammatory
activity. Water extracts from leaves of plants originating from
Africa and Asia are currently studied for possible synergies. Investigation
of anti-nociception and anti-pyretic properties are also studied.
Skin Aging
Identification of active ingredients with anti-oxidant
properties, metalloprotease inhibitors and with signalling transduction
activity on the TGF-beta/Smad pathway. Terpenes of natural origin
are investigated.
Parasites/Bacteria
Identification of natural ingredients with anti-parasites
and anti-bacteria activity. Synergies of oils derived from seeds
of plants from Africa and Asia are investigated.
Micro-circulation
Complexes of natural ingredients are investigated
for their properties on the re-absorption of the lymphatic circulation
and decrease of the capillary permeability.
Natural Cosmetics
Formulations with bio-compatible preservatives,
fragrances and colours; integral vegetal actives without solvents. |
